Originally released in 2016 under the name Antshares and renamed in 2017, NEO is a cryptocurrency and blockchain application platform built for issuing digitized identities and creating digitized assets and smart contracts. NEO hopes to create a more secure platform and smart economy. The NEO platform issues and manages two digital assets: the NEO token and GAS token.
