    In the West, an average house will set you $500K minimum. There goes half of your million.
    In the West, your basic living expenses are between $30k-$50K per year.
    So the remaining $500k, despite living frugally, will last you only for 10yrs.
    If you're thinking of re-investing the $500k and living off the interest, it shows you're financially illiterate.
    Because investing is not that simple and also comes with risk. You can lose that re-invested $500k.

    Here's the kicker.
    When you suddenly make your million, you didn't develop the financial skill to make and manage that million.
